Product Owner II, Cat Digital

About The Position

As a Digital Product Owner for Cat Interact, you will join a fast-paced team working to improve customer experience and digital communications through Caterpillar’s global dealer network. We are looking for an entrepreneurial team member with technical acumen to help shape and deliver the future of the Cat Interact platform as we expand our communication capabilities and integration touchpoints with dealer systems and the Caterpillar digital ecosystem. As a member of the Product Management team, you’ll work closely with other team members, stakeholders and engineering partners to define the scope and requirements of business features, validate enhancements and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.
Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

Nice To Haves

Four-year Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science, information systems, marketing, communications, engineering or related field or equivalent working experience
Experience in digital product management
Experience managing projects using Agile software tools such as Azure DevOps, Aha! Or JIRA
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences (engineering, business partners, and leadership)
Strong understanding of API integrations and data modeling
Proven accountability, planning, and organization skills
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams

Responsibilities

Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization to gather information and shape requirements
Write business features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for product enhancements.
Work closely with the Product Manager and the UX/UI team to ensure designs meet customer needs and deliver on product objectives
Partner with other Cat Digital teams to work on product and data integrations
Responsible for making decisions on release dates and content
