Job Summary: Cat Inspect is the central tool used by Caterpillar to assign, complete and review inspections for any asset with one easy-to-app, paired with other Cat Equipment Management tools to make smart decisions business decision. As Digital Product Owner, you will be leading Cat Inspect through the transformation into a new generation application, leveraging generative AI to deliver superior user experience and deliver on customer commitments and services growth. Comfortable working in challenging environments with a contagious passion for digital product management and transformation, you will play a key role in the Cat Inspect transformation. By joining the Caterpillar Foresight and Cat Inspect team, your contributions will support the services offered for all industries served by Caterpillar. You will be an integral part of our team of talented product managers, product owners at Cat Digital, working alongside specialists in the organization. You will gain experience in a vibrant and diverse multinational organization and develop your understanding of business practices and the data driven revolution.

Requirements

  • Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Software Change Request Management: Knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
  • Software Problem Management: Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems; ability to manage software problems in installed software products.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating and delivering product features and user stories
  • High interest in generative AI applications
  • Exposure to specific organizational tools such as Azure DevOps
  • Experience in UI prototypes applications such as Figma
  • Demonstrates experience with software product development projects.
  • Ability to operate and manage software product development projects at all stages of the product development lifecycle.
  • Ability to communicate with business and engineering simplifying complex topics.

Responsibilities

  • Write specific features related to Cat Inspect.
  • Coordinates with engineering and UX/UI to develop and deploy new features and new releases on schedule.
  • Help managing prioritization of issues and enhancements.
  • Partners with marketing positions to promote Cat Inspect.
  • Collaborate with product owners inside the team.
