About This Role: Carrier is seeking a Product Owner / Data Analyst to support the Applied (Commercial HVAC Equipment) business. This hybrid role combines product ownership, business analysis, and hands‑on analytics to deliver actionable insights, scalable KPIs, and trusted dashboards that enable data‑driven decisions across Applied Sales, Strategy, and Operations. The individual in this role will serve as the primary analytics intake, prioritization, and ownership point for Applied, managing dashboard investments, supporting Applied strategy initiatives, and ensuring insights are clearly understood, adopted, and acted upon by the business. This position follows a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 + years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, or product‑adjacent analytics roles.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical work and actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, including experience presenting to Applied business and leadership audiences.
  • Hands‑on experience with Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with CRM, ERP, or operational data sources.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in a Product Owner, Analytics Product Owner, or hybrid Product Owner/Data Analyst role.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery concepts, backlog management, and intake prioritization.
  • Experience with SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar analytics tools.
  • Prior experience supporting commercial HVAC, manufacturing, capital equipment, or industrial businesses.
  • Experience contributing to KPI governance, metric standardization, or analytics operating models.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary analytics point of contact for the Applied Equipment business, owning intake, prioritization, and backlog management for analytics requests.
  • Product‑manage existing and new Applied analytics assets, ensuring dashboards remain accurate, relevant, and aligned to evolving business needs.
  • Translate Applied business questions, strategic initiatives, and improvement opportunities into clear analytics requirements, user stories, and prioritized deliverables.
  • Support Applied Sales, Strategy, and Operations with analysis such as go‑to‑market insights, performance tracking, channel analytics, and KPI reporting.
  • Perform rapid, high‑impact analysis using existing data models, dashboards, and tools to answer Applied business questions.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting that provide visibility into Applied performance and outcomes.
  • Storytell insights through executive‑ready presentations, dashboards, and written narratives that drive decisions and action.
  • Act as the business subject matter expert for Applied KPIs, definitions, and metric interpretation.
  • Partner with Analytics Governance and Digital teams to ensure KPI consistency, change control, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Distinguish between net‑new analytics investments and enhancements to existing funded solutions, ensuring efficient use of Digital and Analytics resources.
  • Provide post‑deployment dashboard support, including data interpretation, question resolution, and usage guidance, closing the gap between delivery and sustained adoption.
