The Data Product Owner will support the Sr. Data Product Owner in developing and managing data products that drive business value at Purpose Financial. This role will assist in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and data engineering/analytics teams, helping ensure that data initiatives align with organizational goals and user needs.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience in data analytics, business analysis, or product management
Familiarity with data platforms and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Big Query)
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, demanding environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
Basic understanding of data architecture and data modeling concepts
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools
Basic SQL knowledge
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally)
Must be eligible to work in the USA and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and communicating data product roadmaps aligned with business strategy
Support prioritization efforts by gathering and organizing business requirements
Help document product features and specifications
Assist in managing scrum activities and filling in as needed.
Support the Sr. Data Product Owner in stakeholder meetings and requirements gathering sessions
Help maintain communication channels between business users and technical teams
Document and track stakeholder feedback and requirements
Assist in creating and refining user stories and acceptance criteria
Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Help track sprint progress and report on delivery status
Participate in testing and quality assurance activities
Support data governance initiatives
Help monitor data quality metrics and report issues
Assist in implementing data standards and best practices
Help design intuitive data products that enable self-service analytics
Gather user feedback on data product usability and functionality
Support training and documentation efforts for data product users
Understand, adhere to, and enforce all corporate policies.
