About The Position

The Product Operations Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining the operational backbone of Viewrail’s product ecosystem. This leader ensures our product data, configuration logic, and system architecture are accurate, scalable, and aligned with how customers design, purchase, and build with Viewrail. This role is both a steward of product integrity and a catalyst for operational excellence. The Product Operations Manager will eliminate legacy product debt, standardize product definitions, improve data quality, and partner cross functionally to streamline how products flow from concept to quoting to production. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who thrives in complex environments, understands product lifecycle and configuration challenges, and loves creating durable frameworks that reduce friction for every downstream team. Responsibilities

  • Product Data Ownership & Governance Establish and enforce standards for product definitions, naming, attributes, compatibility rules, and metadata. Own the accuracy and completeness of product information across ERP (Terminal), website, quoting systems, and production workflows. Create and maintain a unified product taxonomy and ensure alignment with engineering and sales requirements. Implement systematic controls to reduce product debt and prevent reintroduction of inaccuracies.
  • Product Lifecycle & Configuration Management Define and manage the lifecycle for every product—from introduction to revision to retirement. Lead the cleanup and modernization of legacy SKUs, part lists, assemblies, and configuration logic. Partner with Sales Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing to ensure product structures are buildable, scalable, and customer-centric. Own the rules engine for complex configurable systems (e.g., FLIGHT, Signature glass, cable railing).
  • Cross-Functional Enablement Collaborate with Sales, Sales Ops, and Marketing to ensure product data supports accurate quoting, pricing, and merchandising. Partner with Engineering to translate technical specs into operational product models and logical structures. Work with Manufacturing to ensure BOMs, part lists, and operations routing reflect accurate product definitions. Support eCommerce and Digital teams in enabling online configuration, visualization, and modern product experiences.
  • Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Build and lead a cross-functional Product Operations function, including Product Analysts and Data Specialists. Develop KPIs for product accuracy, data freshness, engineering rework reduction, and quoting/production error rates. Identify systemic bottlenecks across the product lifecycle and execute root-cause remediation projects. Introduce tools, automation, and processes that increase transparency and reduce manual work across teams.
  • Strategic Product Infrastructure Leadership Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on how Viewrail’s products are structured and how that structure enables or constrains the business. Provide product systems input for major initiatives: online configurators, blueprint ingestion tools, ERP enhancements, pricing strategy, and quoting improvements. Partner with R&D to ensure new product introductions follow a standardized, scalable data and configuration framework. Lead the modernization of Viewrail’s product platform—reducing friction, increasing accuracy, and improving speed to market.
