The Product Marketing Manager III will lead and implement marketing strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and affinity with B2C/B2B customers. This role involves defining market positioning, leading go-to-market strategies for various initiatives supporting business goals, and helping define and develop a roadmap of features driven by research and analytics. The manager will identify customer needs to deliver personalized experiences, collaborate across the GM Enterprise, and work closely with stakeholders, developers, UX designers, marketers, analytics teams, auction partners, vendors, and operations leaders. The position serves as a subject matter expert for key digital channels and advocates for customer-centricity. The role also involves creating high-profile marketing initiatives, managing customer communications, planning goals and campaigns with product managers, nurturing stakeholder relationships, and prioritizing marketing initiatives to align experiences across channels.

Requirements

  • Experience in lifecycle marketing, account management, product marketing, product management, road mapping, and agile methodologies
  • Experience working within a matrix organization and collaborating with business stakeholders, user experience teams, project managers, developers, etc.
  • A proven track record of project execution, completing campaigns or projects on time and on budget
  • Excellent prioritization, time management, organization, and follow-up skills; with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective product backlog development and grooming
  • Self-driven leader who can take initiative and carry projects from start to finish
  • Ability to dive into performance measurements with teams to help optimize and find key insights into performance
  • Ability to synthesize analytic results into relevant and strategic recommendations
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assemble and interpret data, create executive summaries and deliver business insights
  • Ability to understand and explain complex issues and clearly identify and communicate the situation at a high level
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), cross-collaboration and team skills
  • Ability to create and manage a roadmap of campaign and product features and enhancements
  • 4-6 years as a product marketer or similar role required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement marketing strategies to drive awareness, engagement and affinity with B2C/B2B customers
  • Help define market positioning
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for a variety of initiatives that support business goals
  • Help lead your team to define and develop a roadmap of features driven by research and analytics
  • Identify customer needs, wants and expectations, to deliver personalized experiences that exceed customer expectations and meet business objectives
  • Build strong partnerships across the GM Enterprise to deliver consistent business value to GM, GM adjacencies, the brands, and GMF
  • Work closely with key business stakeholders, developers, UX designers, marketers, analytics teams, auction partners, vendors and operations leaders
  • Serve as the subject matter experts for some of GM Financial' s key digital channels and be recognized as a fierce advocate for putting the customer at the center of everything we do
  • Create high profile marketing initiatives that align with the business needs and create an exceptional customer experience
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of campaigns and initiatives
  • Identify and manage customer communications for every touchpoint along the journey, ensuring that communications align with marketing plans and our business goals
  • Work directly with the product managers and marketing team members to plan and implement goals, strategies, and campaigns around our products and other consumer touchpoints
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and other influencers who contribute to the definition and ongoing support of B2C/B2B marketing strategies through stewardship, influence, motivation and change leadership
  • Lead the high-level prioritization of marketing initiatives, aligning experiences across channels and touchpoints to ensure the best business results
  • Participate in the planning for the future direction of B2C/B2B channels and features by combining customer needs and insights with quantifiable business cases to establish program roadmaps and strategies that are built on consensus and buy-in from senior leadership
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for go-to-market activities
  • Measure, assess and report on the effectiveness of campaigns and the various tactics and collateral assets
  • Understand and evangelize the vision, strategic priorities and goals of the organization, translating them into a roadmap of features and enhancements that provide remarkable customer experiences
  • Facilitate dealer website enhancements utilizing agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Manage dealer website for issues to report, manage, and resolve in collaboration with GMF leadership and vendors
