About The Position

The Product Marketing Lead, reporting to the VP, Defense Sales, will drive early awareness, education, and demand generation for Skyryse’s defense and government-facing solutions. This role will sit at the intersection of product, sales, and marketing, translating complex, evolving technology into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with military and government stakeholders. This is a full-time, onsite role based in El Segundo, California.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 7–10 years of experience in product marketing, marketing strategy, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to drive awareness, education, and demand for complex, technical products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging.
  • Experience supporting sales teams through strong enablement materials and go-to-market execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in aerospace, defense, autonomy, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Prior experience marketing to or working with military, defense, or government customers.
  • Experience with performance marketing, paid media, and audience targeting.
  • Previous marketing experience in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for Skyryse’s defense and government offerings.
  • Drive early awareness and education efforts to generate interest and qualified leads across military and government audiences.
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design and Sales to stay aligned with evolving product capabilities and translate them into effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Define marketing requirements and feedback loops to inform product development and roadmap prioritization.
  • Own defense-related website content, including copy development, wireframing, and ongoing optimization to ensure alignment with brand strategy.
  • Build and maintain compelling sales enablement materials, including decks, presentations, and collateral to support the Defense and Sales team.
  • Lead performance marketing initiatives such as paid social campaigns, audience targeting, Salesforce-driven communications, newsletters, and content amplification.
  • Contribute to and execute branding strategy, ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing and sales touchpoints.
  • Apply deep understanding of the military and government landscape to inform messaging, channel strategy, and customer engagement.
  • Occasionally participate in marketing efforts outside of your area of expertise as necessary and as your skillset dictates
