About The Position

ADP is hiring a Lead Technical Product Manager to join the team working on ADP’s next-generation SMB HCM/Payroll platform. We’re looking for someone comfortable with ambiguity, rapid change, and hard constraints: every decision needs to hold up under real-world scale and desirability. You’ll work across technical, business, and design partners to clarify messy requirements, shape roadmap priorities, and build first-of-their-kind HCM products. You’re energized by new problems, able to defend your product decisions, and ready to push for technical, design, and market excellence.

  • You have 5+ years of firsthand experience defining and delivering digital products with agile teams, discovering and documenting requirements, and embedding with agile scrum teams through execution and go to market.
  • You’ve worked hands on with data scientists and data engineers identifying, defining, testing, iterating, proving out, and shipping software features powered by machine learning that solve genuine customer and business problems. Extra credit if you’ve shipped features with GenAI capabilities.
  • You’re comfortable digging into a technical platform driven by events-based architecture and scalable data models, can query a database if needed, and can translate the technical tradeoffs for any audience.
  • You will own end-to-end requirements definition, producing detailed functional specifications that enable high-quality engineering execution (not just user stories-level definitions).
  • You are an outstanding and empathetic listener. You effortlessly build rapport with people.
  • You are a natural optimist with the conviction that the right mindset and grit can overcome any problem.
  • You have successfully, productively integrated GenAI / LLM tooling into your professional workflows and are on top of the latest developments with this technology.
  • You are an ardent advocate for and practitioner of human-centered design principles.
  • You can hold your own with Solutions and Technical Architects as you work through the pros and cons of various architectural approaches to solving a problem. Architecture diagrams and data models do not give you stress nightmares.
  • You are an adaptive, versatile communicator. You can articulate the rationale behind a prioritization decision and gain buy-in with stakeholders. You can explain technical concepts in ways that resonate with non-technical audiences. You can inspire and excite people through the power of your storytelling.
  • You can operate independently in project mgmt tools like Jira, Confluence, etc for planning, documentation, tracking, and deployments.
  • You’ve successfully led and delivered high value software products and/or features in an enterprise environment.
