About The Position

Transform Labs is seeking a Product Manager to support a complex, long-term engagement with a national automotive client, as well as potential other projects, depending on need. This role will work closely under the guidance of a Lead Product Manager and will be responsible for assisting with product discovery, requirements definition, and roadmap execution for a custom enterprise platform. Location requirement: Candidates must live in Ohio or Michigan, as the role includes occasional on-site client visits in Michigan. You will partner closely with a senior Product Manager and internal delivery teams to ensure we are building software that meaningfully improves the client’s business operations.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in product management, business analysis, consulting, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with Agile teams and software delivery lifecycles.
  • Strong curiosity about how businesses operate and how technology can improve them.
  • Comfortable asking questions, documenting processes, and synthesizing feedback.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn enterprise systems and complex workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • ERP, automotive, or enterprise software experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in client interviews, workshops, and site visits to learn how the business operates today.
  • Help document current-state workflows, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ask clarifying questions to understand whyprocesses exist—not just how they work.
  • Assist in identifying downstream teams and systems affected by proposed changes.
  • Assist in translating business goals into epics, features, and user stories.
  • Draft and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Designers as requirements move into detailed documentation and design.
  • Help identify assumptions in requirements and designs that need validation with the client.
  • Support review cycles with internal teams and clients to close gaps early and avoid rework.
  • Collaborate with engineers to understand technical constraints and feasibility.
  • Support sprint readiness by ensuring upcoming work is clearly defined and reviewed.
  • Help keep product work aligned with agreed-upon scope and business priorities.
  • Support roadmap planning by tracking upcoming discovery, dependencies, and priorities.
  • Assist with preparing materials for bi-weekly roadmap and prioritization discussions with the client.
  • Learn how to think multiple sprints ahead so development teams are never blocked waiting for clarity.

Benefits

  • 1099 contract (you supply the equipment).
  • PT, 10-20 hours per week.
  • Up to $65 per hour.
  • The potential for long-term, full-time work.
