About The Position

We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and customer-focused Travel Insurance Product Manager to lead the development, management, and performance of travel insurance products within North America. This role is responsible for driving product strategy, optimizing portfolio performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating across cross-functional teams including underwriting, sales, marketing, compliance, and operations.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in assisting with portfolio management and optimization and conducting data analysis and generating insights in the insurance industry.
  • Experience in identifying and driving business process improvements and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze data sets and provide actionable insights using Excel and Power BI.
  • Understanding of the North American travel insurance markets, legal, regulatory and competitor landscape.
  • Policy Management: Comprehensive understanding of travel insurance policy administration.
  • Communication & Presentation: Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire.
  • Ability to identify problems, evaluate solutions, and implement effective strategies.
  • Project management skills, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and management travel insurance products from ideation through launch and lifecycle management.
  • Leading efforts to strategically steer the travel insurance portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Research information on competitive trends, product line trends, producer trends and external environment, including legal, economic, demographic and distribution trends to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and develop proposals to maximize profitability, including the review of claims/large losses/trends.
  • Act as a Key Resource within Travel Insurance NA for all program activities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement new products, enhancements, or expansion of service offerings.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to increase product relevance and make product improvements.
