About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Plans, directs and manages the Ideation marketing activities, both strategic and tactical for the Emergency Response Systems (ERS) business. This individual will assure program(s) are identified, justified, specified, developed, launched and marketed worldwide within budgeted objectives, focusing on maximizing profitability and orders growth. Works closely with Research and Development within the Ferno Group Companies to deliver meaningful innovation that delivers unmet customer needs and drives business growth.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business, Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in product management, engineering, marketing, and innovation on successful programs with exceptional business results
  • Minimum of three years of Voice of the Customer and Customer Preference Testing experience
  • Solid understanding of FDA and ISO process controls and requirements.
  • Ability to create and calculate financial models for program development projects to include, but not limited to, Net Present Value, Payback, and Internal Rate of Return
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication and presentation skills. Fluent in second language preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and handle multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong product affinity and results orientation

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and leadership during product development process to include discovery, justification, specification, and delivery to include relevant global product standards.
  • Coordinate activities between engineering, regulatory and sales to ensure product compliance for intended market.
  • Helps guide the commercialization process to include value proposition, pricing guidelines, sales promotion, and distribution activities with global commercialization teammates.
  • Responsible for the development of strategic planning to include: evaluation of market trends and potential; orders, margin, and unit forecasting; competitive assessment; and gap analysis.
  • Collects, analyzes and maintains competitive information including product literature, pricing, and commercial strategy and communicates information as appropriate within the global organization.
  • Focuses on continuous product improvement with regard to product quality and functionality. The goal is “best in class” products in all market segment(s). Drives corrective action where necessary to include product rationalization.
  • Responsible for global product test standard compliance and normalization along with corresponding certification documentation
  • Provide unparalleled sales support by answering questions and/or resolving Ferno Group Company, Dealer, Sales Rep, or end customer problems
  • Participates in customer visits and sales training as the resident subject matter/product/market expert.
  • Develops key relationships with industry/market thought leaders, organizations, and institutions to include residing on global vehicle safety boards
  • Facilitate Voice of the Customer, Use-Ability, Customer Preference Testing, and Final Confirmation Testing activity as appropriate
