News Corp Global Technology is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the transformation of newsroom tooling through the global NewsPress Program, the core publishing ecosystem powering content creation for The Wall Street Journal, The Times, The Sun, The New York Post, and soon across News Corp Australia newsrooms. This leader will set the vision and strategy for the newsroom of tomorrow while ensuring journalists have the tools they need to deliver world-class storytelling. The Senior Product Manager will guide the evolution of NewsPress by embedding AI, automation, and advanced workflows that streamline publishing, expand creative capacity, and enable high-impact journalism that drives engagement, subscriptions, and sustainable growth. The role reports to the VP of CMS & Publishing and partners with leaders from the CMS & Publishing pillars of Newsroom Transformation, Content Innovation & Monetization, and Video & Visual Storytelling, as well as with editorial, product, and technology teams across business units. These partnerships ensure that NewsPress evolves in line with newsroom priorities, business growth initiatives, and audience needs, while driving adoption at scale and delivering measurable value across the global publishing ecosystem.

  • Shape the long-term product vision for NewsPress and execute a global roadmap that aligns newsroom needs with business transformation priorities.
  • Deliver newsroom efficiency and scale by embedding AI, automation, and agentic workflows that simplify publishing tasks and unlock capacity for higher-value journalism.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable product plans that cover concept, design, development, launch, and continuous improvement.
  • Build alignment across business units by engaging editorial, product, and engineering leaders in shared priorities and trade-offs.
  • Ensure scalability and consistency of core tooling while enabling local flexibility to support innovation.
  • Enhance transparency and prioritization by managing the NewsPress service catalogue and backlog as tools to focus investment on initiatives with the greatest global impact.
  • Improve newsroom workflows by conducting user research, competitive analysis, and market scanning to identify pain points and innovation opportunities.
  • Use data and insights to validate product decisions, ensuring that solutions are grounded in real newsroom needs and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with regional product teams to test ideas quickly and ensure solutions are both practical and scalable.
  • Drive effective cross-functional delivery across geographies by applying agile practices that balance speed, scope, and quality.
  • Increase efficiency and reduce duplication by building repeatable systems for intake, prioritization, and communication of NewsPress capabilities.
  • Maintain accountability for delivery by monitoring progress, managing dependencies, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Define and track KPIs and OKRs for all major initiatives, tying results to newsroom efficiency, adoption, and business outcomes.
  • Communicate progress and impact to senior stakeholders, reinforcing the value of NewsPress as a global publishing platform.
  • Combines strategic vision with a strong delivery mindset, able to see the big picture while executing with discipline.
  • Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders, building trust across diverse editorial, product, and technology teams.
  • Strong problem-solving capability, able to diagnose root causes and design solutions that balance newsroom, technical, and business priorities.
  • Skilled in product and design thinking, with experience simplifying complex workflows into intuitive user experiences.
  • Demonstrated strength in prioritization and organization, balancing competing demands to maximize impact.
  • Experienced in Agile/Scrum leadership and backlog management, with a track record of delivering products at scale.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences and present effectively to senior executives.
  • Familiarity with WordPress CMS, metadata frameworks, content automation, and JIRA is a strong plus.
  • Experience leading and launching digital products (websites, mobile apps, software) in dynamic markets is an advantage.
