About The Position

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. In this role, you will build impactful user-centered features while leveraging the latest technologies in ML and AI. On this team, you will work amongst Product Managers that support Responsible Growth at YouTube; working on identifying sensitive content that viewers may find hateful, harmful, misleading or misleading. This is a high complexity, visibility and impact challenge that sits at the intersection of technology, user safety, and policy. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
  • Experience with products that utilize Machine Learning, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working and communicating in areas with significant leadership and stakeholder scrutiny.
  • Experience working in product areas that are at the intersection of engineering and public policy.
  • Knowledge in digital well-being, public policy, content safety, or trust and safety issues.

Responsibilities

  • Work on YouTube's sensitive content systems with a focus on measurement, metrics, and operational responsiveness.
  • Define the product goal, strategy, and roadmap for metric foundations by assessing how we can efficiently measure system performance.
  • Improve operational resilience by determining how to invest in threat detection and operational processes to decrease turn-around-time and increase scale when responding to new types of challenging content or world events.
  • Partner with engineering to incorporate LLMs across our metrics and operational systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners including Data Science, Trust and Safety, Public Policy, Legal, and local market specialists to identify and rapidly respond to emerging content trends and prevent escalations.
