About The Position

PLS Logistics Services is investing heavily in its proprietary Transportation Management System (TMS) and related digital platforms. We are looking for a Product Manager who will own the definition, evolution, and delivery of core product capabilities that power our brokerage, managed transportation, and operations teams. This role sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and business strategy. You will translate realworld logistics problems into clear product requirements, partner closely with Engineering and IT, and ensure our internal platforms continuously deliver measurable business value.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in B2B or internal platforms
  • Proven experience working closely with Engineering and technical teams
  • Strong ability to translate complex workflows into simple product solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfort making decisions without perfect information

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or high-volume operations
  • Experience with proprietary/internal systems (TMS, OMS, WMS, ERP, etc.) - SQL/data fluency or strong analytical instincts
  • Experience with agile delivery environments

Responsibilities

  • Product vision, roadmap, and prioritization for one or more proprietary platforms (primarily the PLS TMS)
  • Definition of product scope, features, workflows, and success metrics
  • Continuous improvement of systems used daily by Sales, Ops, Pricing, Carrier Management, and Leadership
  • Clear articulation of why we are building something — not just what
  • Define product vision and roadmaps aligned to company strategy
  • Partner with business leaders to understand workflows and pain points
  • Evaluate build vs buy and integration decisions
  • Translate business needs into clear product requirements and user stories
  • Own backlog prioritization and delivery trade-offs
  • Partner closely with Engineering and IT teams
  • Act as primary product point of contact
  • Align cross-functional teams around priorities
  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes
  • Define success metrics and KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement through data and feedback
