Title and Summary Product Manager - Technical II Technical Product Managers at Mastercard work to build and deliver on the Why and the What of our products. The role is primarily responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the team by ensuring the team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to oversee and refine the end-to-end transaction flows and integration strategies in Mastercard’s Authorization program. This role is critical in ensuring optimal performance and function through strategic planning, and effective communication, and data analysis.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong ability to analyze data.
  • Expertise in cloud technologies, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Experience in managing product integration and transaction flows with a grasp of performance data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of technologies, CI/CD, and release methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at various levels.
  • Experience contributing to documentation and managing integration and release strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hands on software development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate the business context and manage end-to-end transaction flows.
  • Utilize data to support assumptions, develop business cases, and surface enhancement opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively about cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, serverless tech), microservice design, scalable platform design, API design, and distributed systems operations.
  • Define and document entrance/exit criteria and drive elaboration with development squads to refine technical requirements.
  • Understand and apply relevant technologies, CI/CD practices, and release methodologies.
  • Communicate and influence effectively by building relationships across internal and external teams.
  • Stay current with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, integrating relevant components into the organization.
  • Contribute to BizOps playbook documentation for release and support.
  • Utilize logging and performance data to create a view of product performance and verify releases.
