About The Position

The Sales and Marketing Manager – ProForm Finishing Products is a growth‑oriented commercial leader responsible for driving profitable sales, market share expansion, and customer preference across the full ProForm portfolio, including Ready Mix, Setting Compounds, Texuture, Tape, and Export businesses. This role owns the end‑to‑end sales and marketing strategy, translating market insight and customer needs into clear value propositions, demand creation initiatives, and disciplined go‑to‑market execution. Serving as the commercial connective link between Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technical, and Finance, the Sales and Marketing Manager ensures ProForm’s portfolio, messaging, pricing strategy, and availability are tightly aligned to customer requirements, competitive dynamics, and long‑term business objectives. This role is designed to be commercially aggressive, externally focused, and growth‑oriented, elevating sales and marketing from support functions into core revenue‑driving leadership disciplines. The Sales and Marketing Manager will play a central role in shaping ProForm’s growth trajectory, strengthening customer partnerships, and ensuring ProForm wins across all markets and product categories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7–10+ years of experience in sales leadership, product marketing, or commercial management within building materials or adjacent industries.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth through marketing and product‑led initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in pricing, margin analysis, and business case development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the sales growth strategy for all ProForm product categories and channels (dealer, retail, export, specialty).
  • Partner with national and regional sales leadership to identify growth opportunities by segment, geography, and customer type.
  • Lead product‑led growth initiatives, including line extensions, portfolio optimization, packaging innovations, and value‑based pricing strategies.
  • Actively support key customer engagements, distributor meetings, and strategic account planning efforts.
  • Serve as the commercial marketing leader for ProForm, owning day‑to‑day execution while partnering with Corporate Marketing.
  • Define and refine product positioning, messaging, and branding by application and customer segment.
  • Lead development of sales enablement tools, including sell sheets, application guides, competitive matrices, digital content, and training materials.
  • Drive launch strategies for new products and major initiatives, ensuring coordinated execution across Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Influence trade shows, customer events, and field demonstrations to maximize commercial impact.
  • Own the commercial lifecycle of the ProForm portfolio, from concept and launch through optimization and rationalization.
  • Maintain product and market roadmaps aligned with operating plans and growth priorities.
  • Lead business cases for new products and initiatives, including market sizing, margin analysis, pricing strategy, and ROI.
  • Champion simplification efforts that improve manufacturing efficiency while protecting customer value.
  • Partner with Demand Management and Supply Chain to align forecast assumptions, inventory strategies, and service objectives.
  • Translate market intelligence, customer feedback, and sales inputs into actionable demand signals.
  • Support proactive demand‑shaping initiatives (promotions, conversions, substitutions) during supply constraints.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitive offerings, pricing dynamics, and emerging technologies.
  • Maintain clear competitive positioning across Ready Mix, Setting Compounds, Texture, Tape, and Export markets.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring commercial decisions are grounded in real‑world application and customer value.
  • Lead cross‑functional commercial initiatives involving Sales, Manufacturing, Technical, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Ensure sales and marketing strategies are executable, manufacturable, and operationally aligned.
  • Act as a trusted partner to plant leadership when commercial decisions impact operations.
