The Mobile App Product Manager at Principal Financial Group is responsible for managing complex mobile app products, enhancing user engagement, and driving customer satisfaction. This role requires strategic thinking, a strong background in mobile app experience, user experience design, and project management. The ideal candidate will develop and implement product vision and strategy, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality mobile app products.

  • Develop and implement the product vision and strategy for the mobile app.
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap based on market research, customer feedback, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Identify opportunities for new features and improvements to enhance user experience and engagement.
  • Partner with Director or Senior Director of Product Management and other product managers to ensure product strategies align with business and enterprise strategies.
  • Understand and define key business outcomes and requirements for the product.
  • Lead product teams to understand complex problems and solutions through experimentation.
  • Coordinate with designers, developers, QA testers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Monitor and communicate product health, impact of product releases, and progress against product goals.
  • Provide strong mobile app product vision and understanding of industry opportunities.
  • 2+ years of business, technology, or product management experience; or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, military experience, or education.
  • Experience with mobile app development projects from concept to launch.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple products.
  • Demonstrated success establishing product strategy and managing complex stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrated success in both discovery and delivery against product outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a highly collaborative, fast-paced product environment with product or engineering teams and stakeholders.
