This position is a hybrid role with locations that include Palo Alto, CA; Chevy Chase, MD. The ideal applicant would be customer obsessed, results oriented and highly technical to drive the sales experience. We are looking for a committed, experienced, and energetic individual to join our growing product team. This is a collaborative role working across various stakeholders and accountable for improving and building the best-in-class sales experience. In this position you will be a single threaded owner working across stakeholders within technology, business, product management and design to help build and execute. A strong understanding of front-end experience, capabilities, and downstream services that support everyday sales needs across all channels and insurance product offerings. Demonstrate the ability to roll up your sleeves and dig deep while influencing organizational change through proper scoping, process improvements and positive team culture. The ideal candidate is excellent at: Ability to work cross-functional such as business, product, design and engineering, lead across multiple sprint teams and understand how to work in a matrixed org with dependencies and competing goals Synthesize information across customer, business, market, and platform data to identify opportunities, size them, and turn insights into requirements. Owning and prioritizing the long-term (6+ months) product roadmap to deliver business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team. Hands on with writing, epics, feature, and user story details to help drive solution and execution aligned to business outcomes and customer first experiences. Leveraging modern architecture & stately design to identify problem-solution fit. Evaluating trade-offs and negotiating requirements. Creating and using compelling, informative artifacts to influence stakeholders (ex. Vision, Roadmaps, Features/Epics, Progress Updates, etc.). Understanding of current and future state architecture. Identifying and measuring KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), with an eye to adjusting and refining your roadmap as the data dictates. Having an end-to-end understanding of features and how they fit into the larger ecosystem to be able to anticipate impacts from changes in other parts of the business. Coaching and mentoring other Product Managers. Strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to conduct analysis and drive data driven decisions. Demonstrating a strong bias for action, partnership, and influence ability. This includes driving prioritization and feature requirement to capabilities teams as well as driving trade-off discussions and decision-making with technical experts and business stakeholders Knowledge in Underwriting, Rating, and Insurance Product Offerings (i.e., Modeling, Telematics, Product Definition) is a plus. Oversee product rollout plan, segmentation, product adoption and opportunities for product promotion Leverages agile metrics to understand product management's contribution to agile teams and identify potential opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in agile product management
  • 5+ years managing all aspects of a product feature throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery or launch to market
  • 5+ years leading cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as software engineering or computer science
