About The Position

The Insurance Product Manager-Commercial Lines will assist in developing strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of the program. A person in this role will ensure that operational and underwriting processes stay within agreed upon budgets and timelines. Implement, manage, and evaluate processes and procedures, in accordance with the standards and procedures set out by the organization. This person will oversee production and performance of underwriters within a specific discipline. This role will play a key role in cultivating carrier relationships. The role is responsible for ensuring underwriting guidelines are created and followed to provide the best opportunity for writing sustained long term profitable business along with development of coverage forms and applications specific to their segment. What will your job entail?

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • At least 3 years of commercial insurance experience, specifically commercial property insurance

Responsibilities

  • Develop underwriting criteria for specialized segments of business.
  • Drive countrywide product growth and profitability for assigned lines of business
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend new product opportunities for assigned lines of business
  • Lead implementation of new products and enhancements to existing products.
  • Develop both short and long-term project roadmaps for each product
  • Stay current on industry developments and trends as well as the regulatory environments
  • Create specialized forms.
  • Engaging in carrier relationships
  • Performing underwriting audits
  • Monitoring of claims and program loss ratios
  • Managing underwriters
  • Perform special projects as needed.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
