About The Position

Reporting to the Sr. Manager - Software Product Management, this key individual is proficient in supporting the business strategy in coordination with the Sr. Manager - Software Product Management and Joint Commission’s internal and external stakeholders. The Product Manager is primarily responsible for product ownership, attaining revenue goals by leading and managing sales leads and opportunities through license activation. The PM will act as a product owner to lead the coordination with internal stakeholders for any client requests for product enhancements, sales, client request for proposals, marketing, pricing, and additional responsibilities as needed. The individual is proficient with software product life cycle concepts and agile development processes to be able to articulate product status and roadmap to various organizations we serve. The PM will partner with and support team members with business processes and resolution of operational issues from sales to fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent field.
  • 3 years of software demonstration experience of commercial mission critical software products. Possesses strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of product life cycle, value propositions, market trend, market levers, market competition, pricing, client investment, return on investment, cost benefit analysis and solution definition.
  • Experience in working with key large customers, making executive level presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Works independently under minimal supervision and according to established procedures and policies.
  • High energy, strong work ethics, quick learner and team player
  • Limited travel in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in software products for the health care industry strongly preferred.
  • Some product marketing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads sales presentations, online as well as in person articulating product value.
  • Supports MDOE with RFP responses
  • Works with Product Management team to support product security request of potential organizations.
  • Leads large client sales as point of contact from initial proposal to sales demos, including contracting and pricing through license activation.
  • Leads marketing efforts and collaboration to develop marketing strategy for sales presentations with full expertise of specific client needs.
  • Studies competitive landscape by monitoring competitive products, pricing and reviewing Marketing’s research reports.
  • Provides market and customer feedback to internal product teams.
  • Utilizes problem solving skills to identify issues and escalates sales /operational challenges during sales process.
  • Monitoring, tracking, updating and reporting Digital Product health system sales activities and volumes including leads, opportunities, sales report, by week, month, quarter, MDOE team member, product line, close day and dollar amount.
  • Working with MDOE team to monitor Digital Product sales and next steps needed to move opportunities to license activation.
  • Ensuring that Digital Product sales pipeline and dashboard is consistent, accurate and up-to-date in partnership with MDOE staff.
  • Measuring Digital Product sales performance including but are not limited to lead to opportunity conversion ratio, opportunity win and loss ratio, and average opportunity close days.
  • Leads order fulfillment for large health systems and ensure successful and appropriate sales to training transition.
  • Monitoring, tracking, updating and reporting Digital Product transactional sales activities and volumes from internal Order Cloud on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Ensure that Order Cloud sales quotes funnel is updated and accurate.
  • Ensure client contact information (license owner and purchaser) information is always up-to-date in Order Cloud.
  • Collaborate with MDOE team to ensure highest customer service for new opportunities or renewals.
  • Track and verify Digital Product license retention and renewals.
