Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. As a Product Manager for a XR Consumer App vertical, you will lead the definition and execution of this vertical’s core user experiences across Google’s XR device ecosystem. You will be responsible for identifying high-value use cases for the vertical that drive daily engagement, guiding products from initial concept through launch and iteration. This is a rare opportunity to define the experiences for a new computing paradigm. This role is part of the XR Apps team responsible for building the core applications that define why users put on an XR device everyday, enable users to get value from XR devices, and shape the next generation immersive computing platform for Google. For decades, the computing revolution has reshaped our world driven by breakthroughs in compute, connectivity, mobile, and now, AI. Google's XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap – the convergence of AI and XR. This is more than just new devices – it's about reimagining how we interact with the world around us. Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).

Nice To Haves

Experience developing completely new apps, features, and interfaces.
Experience building products with machine-learning, computer vision, and AI features.
Experience delivering zero-to-one products and technologies (i.e., new technology introduction), and developing consumer electronics hardware products.
Knowledge of product craft, with the ability to develop seamless and magical experiences in XR.
Ability to initiate, develop and build support for ideas.
Passion for human-centric design and wants to build technology that feels natural, invisible, and deeply integrated into daily life.

Responsibilities

Define and own the short and long-term strategies for your consumer apps vertical, including Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).
Define long-term AI-forward consumer XR apps roadmaps and PRDs.
Define and partner on success metrics, evaluate app performance, and iterate.
Understand user needs and behaviors, translating insights into engaging and effective XR experiences.
Guide products from early concept through launch and iteration, making informed tradeoffs in an ambiguous space.
Collaborate deeply with engineering, design, and other cross-functional partners to define delightful, functional, and intuitive XR apps.
Lead cross-functional alignment across the Google ecosystem to ensure a cohesive user journey.
Partner on strategy that can adapt to multiple types of XR devices running apps on Android XR.
Partner with internal teams and external developers to support the delivery of high-quality experiences on XR devices.
