Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. In this role, you will be shaping the future of YouTube's trusted ecosystem for younger audiences. You will leverage exceptional LLM and machine learning (ML) techniques to set the bar for safety and quality, directly impacting the viewing experience of families worldwide. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role focused on content.
  • 1 year of experience taking consumer products from conception to launch.
  • 1 year of experience in developing and iterating on machine learning or LLM classifiers.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UXR, Partnerships, Marketing, and other stakeholders.
  • 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering product strategy presentations to executive leadership.
  • Experience in driving the roadmap for ML models in Search or recommendation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Define the roadmap and drive execution for content classifiers and signal application in Search abd Discovery on YouTube main app and YouTube Kids app.
  • Identify new areas of content, creation, or interactive features that warrant responsibility treatments for kids and families.
  • Develop classifiers and LLM autoraters from start to finish including golden set creation, template definition, prompt creation, and iteration on performance.
  • Define treatments to apply these signals in Search and Discovery across short form and long form content types.
  • Serve as the domain expert for kids quality ML across YouTube, leading alignment between Youth and Search and Discovery surface owners as well as other collaborators in Product, Engineering, UXR, Partnerships, Marketing, GAPP and Legal.
