About The Position

The Product Manager for HVAC and Energy Management Systems at energyGuard will play a crucial role in reducing energy waste through innovative solutions tailored for rental properties. This position requires a strong HVAC background and the ability to coordinate with various teams to ensure seamless product integration, while also engaging directly with customers and partners to drive product improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial) or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in product management.
  • HVAC systems design, performance, and operational expertise is critical for this role.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, support, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to interface with customers, prospects, and partners, with strong communication and customer empathy skills.
  • Experience managing product roadmaps, defining requirements, and working with agile development teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with design, hardware, and software engineering teams to drive the integration of energyGuard's solutions with HVAC systems.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with customer and business needs.
  • Lead the definition of product requirements, specifications, and success metrics.
  • Act as a key interface for customers, prospects, and business partners, gathering feedback and translating it into actionable product improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, field service, support, sales, and marketing teams, as well as installation, channel, and manufacturing partners.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear communication and alignment with the engineering team.
  • Support field service and sales teams by providing technical product expertise and assisting with product demonstrations.
  • Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitive products to inform product strategy.
