About The Position

As a Product Manager, you will be an integral part of the Power Tools Accessories team, operating in a hybrid work model. This role entails becoming the product expert for the Hole Saws & Portable Bandsaw Blade product lines, encompassing full product line responsibility and P&L management. You will be responsible for maintaining a keen awareness of industry and related industry trends to cultivate a deep understanding of the market, distribution channels, and end-users. A key aspect of the role involves collaborating with End-Users and Consumer Insights Teams to capture, assess, and translate consumer feedback into actionable programs that align with End-User, Distributor/Retail Partner, and SBD Organizational needs. You will manage the entire product lifecycle process, from concept to delivery, working closely with North American-based Product Engineering, Operations teams, and Global Commercial teams. Additionally, you will support Domestic manufacturing facilities by assisting with problem-solving, identifying future growth requirements, and setting productivity targets, all while striving for optimal Service Level. The position requires the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic plan for the profitable management of pricing and gross margins. You will also take full ownership of preparing for customer meetings, line reviews, and product trainings. Furthermore, you will assist in leading cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives and serve as the primary point of contact for Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Quality, Engineering, and Brand teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Administration in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 3+ years’ experience of product management experience.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and lead teams – must be able to present data and conclusions in an organized manner.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment or closely with a Manufacturing Plant is a nice to have.

Responsibilities

  • Become the product expert for Hole Saws & Portable Bandsaw Blade product lines. This includes full product line responsibility as well as the P&L.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of trends in the industry and related industries to develop a deep understanding of the Industry, Distribution/Route to Market and the End User.
  • Work with End-Users & Consumer Insights Teams to capture, assess and translate the Voice of the Consumer into actionable programs that meet End-User, Distributor/Retail Partner and SBD Organizational needs.
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle process, alongside the North American based Product Engineering, Operations teams and Global Commercial teams from concept to delivery.
  • Support Operations in the Domestic manufacturing facility in activities like but not limited to: solving problems, identifying future growth requirements & productivity targets all while striving for optimum Service Level.
  • Responsible for development and execution of a comprehensive strategic plan for the profitable management of pricing and gross margins.
  • Full ownership and preparation for customer meetings, line reviews, product trainings, etc.
