About The Position

What you’ll do: Requirement gathering: Work with sales, marketing, and customer support to collect and document feature requests, technical specs, and use-case requirements. Release coordination: Plan and coordinate feature releases—defining scope, timelines, and stakeholder communications. Trend monitoring: Keep abreast of lighting trends (e.g., tunable white, circadian rhythms, human-centric design) and evolving standards (ENERGY STAR®, DLC). Competitive benchmarking: Analyze competitor offerings for performance (lumens/W), feature set (connectivity, controls), and pricing to inform positioning. Customer segmentation: Define target segments (specifiers, contractors, end-users), map their buying criteria, and refine value propositions accordingly. Engineering liaison: Collaborate with electrical, firmware, and mechanical teams to translate requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions. Quality & compliance: Coordinate with QA and regulatory teams to ensure UL/CE testing, RoHS, and energy-efficiency certifications are on track. Metrics & reporting: Track KPIs such as sales velocity, backlog, win rates, warranty returns, and channel feedback, then report insights to leadership. Post-launch iteration: Solicit field feedback, analyze product performance (thermal, optical, reliability), and drive continuous improvements or bug fixes. Lifecycle management: Plan end-of-life timelines, de-commission legacy SKUs, and communicate transitions to customers and partners. Customer feedback: Host regular check-ins with end-users to validate roadmap priorities. Supplier relations: Maintain strategic relationships with LED chip vendors, driver manufacturers, and optical component partners to secure roadmaps and favorable pricing. Internal communication: Act as product advocate—brief executives, coordinate with marketing on campaigns, and align sales on promotions and incentives. Technology adoption: Leverage AI technologies to accelerate product development and overall product category growth.
