We are hiring for a Product Manager for Finance Solutions this role is s a key contributor within the Sonepar USA digital enterprise, responsible for shaping our enterprise application landscape for finance functions. The PM owns the finance solution landscape on behalf of the company and partners with the business owner to ensure that the solutions create value for customers and users. They act as the link between key stakeholders ensuring alignment on the value to be created and a common roadmap. The PM identifies requirements and determines the build or buy strategy for all financial solutions, including the Journal Entry and Period Closing, Epicor Eclipse Accounting and G/L, Financial Reporting, 3rd Party Financial Systems, and other future technologies. This is a Hybrid position and can be located in Broomfield-CO, Hamilton-NJ, or Dallas-TX and requires 40% travel to operating companies and distribution centers across the Sonepar enterprise.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management or related experience
  • 3+ years of deep distribution industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, including attention to detail
  • Experience and familiarity with Agile Scrum development teams
  • Experience with financial systems
  • Strong background in owning a portfolio of solutions and driving adoption with the business
  • Understanding of business and project context
  • Deep insight into business and products
  • Ability to shape product vision and feature priorities
  • Ability to navigate the organization and manage senior business owners and stakeholders
  • Be Authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • The PM collaborates with business owners to identify the financial north star and roadmap.
  • They communicate with stakeholders on financial priorities and vision, support the features needed to meet business goals, complete the business case for new features, and prioritize features based on business value.
  • The PM defines product increments for each program increment and release milestones in accordance with market events and rhythms.
  • They conduct user acceptance tests with users once the features are developed and provide feedback to the teams.
  • The PM also collaborates with business stakeholders to increase product adoption in the long run and shows strong commitment to planning and execution.
  • Define solution landscape, vision and product roadmaps following customer and business needs
  • Work with development teams and partners to shape and deliver solutions to market
  • Initiate, prioritize and refine product backlogs, and own feature validation
  • Partner with Business Process Owners to ensure solutions meet expectations and deliver expected value
