Product Manager – ERP Digital Transformation

Janicki IndustriesSedro-Woolley, WA
Onsite

About The Position

Janicki’s work shows up in places where failure is not an option- national security platforms, commercial aircraft, deep space systems, and advanced maritime technologies. When you improve how our people work, you’re not just streamlining a workflow. You’re strengthening the reliability of a spacecraft component, the precision of a defense structure, or the safety of a maritime system. Your product will directly support teams whose work protects lives, advances exploration, and pushes the boundaries of engineering. Janicki Industries is undertaking a once in a generation digital transformation, anchored by our migration to SAP S/4HANA and driven by a simple mandate: give our engineers, manufacturing teams, and quality professionals tools that make their work easier, faster, and more intuitive. We are not looking for someone to “manage an ERP implementation.” We are looking for someone to design the future for how Janicki works. Your mission is to create an ERP experience so elegant and human centered that the complexity of SAP disappears behind purposeful workflows and a clean, intuitive UI. Our people should interact with clarity, not complexity. That abstraction is the product, and you will own it. This role is about vision, empathy, and product ownership. You will immerse yourself in how our teams operate today, imagine something dramatically better, and translate that vision into a build ready product specification for our SAP implementation partners. You will not be alone; our SAP experts and consultants will handle the technical depth. Your job is to ensure that what is built is beautiful, usable, and transformative for the people who rely on it every day.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field
  • A minimum of 5+ years owning the product management experience with a record of delivering products users genuinely love
  • Demonstrated experience translating complex manufacturing requirements into technical solutions and product roadmaps
  • Exceptional discovery and facilitation skills with the ability to earn trust quickly and extract meaningful insights
  • Ability to synthesize complex, competing requirements and make clear prioritization decisions
  • Experience writing detailed functional specifications, user stories, or SOW level documentation
  • Strong intuition for UX and workflow design; you think visually and can spot friction instantly
  • Technical curiosity, you don’t need to be an SAP technical expert, but you must be able to engage deeply with technical SMEs and ask the right questions
  • Applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3) due to ITAR and EAR regulations
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
  • Agreement to enter a Continuous Evaluation program for Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience working as a functional analyst, product manager, or technical program manager
  • Experience building products in complex or regulated environments (aerospace, defense, manufacturing, energy)
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, or PLM
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence methodologies
  • Experience with SAP Fiori or other enterprise UI frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Spend time with engineers, machinists, quality inspectors, supply chain teams, and operations staff in their environment, observing real workflows
  • Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for radical improvement
  • Build trust with both frontline users and leadership; your credibility with both groups is essential
  • Distill what users need, not just what they ask for
  • Translate insights into a compelling, user-centered product vision
  • Architect elegant process flows and user journeys that remove friction and guide users naturally
  • Define UI/UX expectations and standards for the ERP experience
  • Maintain a clear, prioritized roadmap that sequences value and manages tradeoffs
  • Write a detailed, implementation-ready Statement of Work (SOW) that gives our SAP team exactly what to build
  • Serve as the connective tissue between users and technical teams, ensuring alignment from concept to delivery
  • Run structured reviews, demos, and feedback loops throughout development
  • Own the product through go-live and beyond- measuring adoption, validating productivity gains, and driving continuous improvement
