About The Position

Job Summary: The Product Manager owns the financial performance, strategy, and end-to-end lifecycle of the company’s consumer financing programs. This role is accountable for driving profitable growth by designing, launching, and optimizing financing solutions. The Product Manager operates with full lifecycle ownership, from market opportunity assessment and financial modeling to go-to-market execution and ongoing optimization in-market. This role requires strong business acumen, analytical rigor, cross-functional leadership, and a relentless focus on measurable financial outcomes.

Requirements

  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing or influencing P&L outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical skills; ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into strategy.
  • Experience building financial models and forecasting product performance.
  • Strategic thinking balanced with execution discipline.
  • Ability to design and interpret structured tests and experiments.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, portfolio economics, and credit-based product structures (preferred).
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, CRM systems, and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel modeling; BI tools preferred).
  • 5+ years experience in product management, financial services, consumer lending, fintech, pricing strategy, or related field.
  • Experience managing products with direct revenue and profitability accountability strongly preferred.
  • Experience in consumer financing, credit products, merchant services, or adjacent industries preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work full-time (average of 40+ hours per week).
  • Ability to work in a shared office, private office, and/or cubicle in accordance with job duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to be on location and/or assigned confidential location(s) for client services for all work hours.
  • Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in a changing work environment.
  • Ability to see computer screen, read, and complete forms
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds with the ability to push, pull, bend, reach, and sit.

Responsibilities

  • Own product-level P&L performance, including revenue, margin, merchant economics, IRR, and/or net yield targets.
  • Develop and execute product strategies that align with corporate growth, profitability, and risk objectives.
  • Build robust financial models to evaluate program structure, pricing, promotions, and incentive strategies.
  • Design financing programs (APR structures, promotional offers, term lengths, fee models, etc.) that optimize profitability while maintaining merchant and consumer appeal.
  • Forecast performance across product lifecycle including initial launch and ramp periods as well as ongoing utilization, repayment behavior, and credit performance.
  • Continuously evaluate performance against targets and implement corrective actions to improve outcomes.
  • Conduct structured market research to identify emerging consumer needs, merchant demands, regulatory considerations, and whitespace opportunities.
  • Analyze competitor financing products, pricing models, underwriting approaches, and promotional tactics to inform differentiation strategy.
  • Use internal portfolio data, win/loss analysis, and merchant feedback to identify gaps and growth opportunities.
  • Segment merchants and consumers to tailor product structures and value propositions for distinct market cohorts.
  • Translate insights from internal business data, credit performance data, sales trends, and customer behavior into actionable product enhancements.
  • Design and execute structured experiments (A/B testing, pilot programs, pricing tests, promotional tests) to validate assumptions and optimize performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through iterative testing, post-launch performance reviews, and data-backed decision-making.
  • Conduct product reviews on an annual basis (at a minimum) for an extensive
  • Partner with Risk, Finance, and Analytics teams to ensure programs meet profitability and compliance standards.
  • Lead go-to-market planning for new financing programs, including positioning, merchant value proposition, pricing strategy, sales enablement, and launch timelines.
  • Develop sales tools, merchant-facing collateral, and training materials in partnership with Marketing and Sales.
  • Collaborate with Sales to structure customized financing proposals for strategic merchants.
  • Monitor adoption rates and sales pipeline performance to ensure successful commercialization.
  • Conduct post-launch performance analysis and refine messaging, pricing, and incentives as needed.
  • Serve as the cross-functional leader coordinating Sales, Marketing, Finance, Risk, Credit, Operations, Compliance, IT, and Merchant Performance teams.
  • Translate strategic objectives into executable roadmaps with clear milestones and accountability.
  • Breakdown roadmap initiatives into clear, actionable projects in Jira, including well defined requirements and business rules.
  • Partner with technology teams to prioritize product enhancements and ensure system capabilities support program objectives.
  • Own and maintain a well prioritized product backlog in partnership with Engineering, balancing financial impact, strategic importance, and delivery capacity.
  • Participate in partnership negotiations and ensure economic alignment in agreements.
  • Act as the primary product owner for assigned merchant programs and strategic partnerships.
  • Own the full lifecycle of financing programs from concept to launch to maturity and potential sunset.
  • Monitor portfolio performance trends and proactively recommend pricing, promotional, or structural changes.
  • Identify opportunities for line extensions, upsell strategies, cross-sell programs, and merchant expansion.
  • Ensure compliance, operational scalability, and sustainable portfolio health over time.
