About the role We need a Product Management Intern for Summer 2026 to work on our vertical AI solutions. You'll join our product team to solve problems for specific industries like home services, auto dealers, and healthcare providers. You'll work directly with our product managers to build AI-powered features that address real business challenges in these verticals. Your work will impact thousands of local businesses that use Podium daily.

Requirements

  • Student in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics or similar fields graduating between Jan - December 2026
  • Demonstrated experience building with AI technologies through coursework, side projects, or hackathons (e.g., creating custom LLM applications, fine-tuning models, or developing AI-driven solutions)
  • Basic understanding of data analysis and machine learning concepts
  • Strong analytical thinking and clear communication skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments
  • Team player who takes responsibility and shares credit

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with at least one business vertical (auto, healthcare, home services)

Responsibilities

  • Research vertical-specific workflows to identify where AI can have the biggest impact
  • Become an expert in the operations of locally run businesses
  • Help develop knowledge bases and decision trees for industry-specific AI agents
  • Create metrics to measure AI performance in different vertical contexts
  • Work with engineers to test and refine vertical AI features
  • Talk directly with customers to gather feedback on our vertical solutions
  • Identify key integration points with industry-specific systems and partners
  • Implement practical data-powered AI tools – not just another chatbot
