What we’re looking for: Responsibilities include handling services related to the transfer of chemical products between rail cars, tank trucks, box trailers, and/or storage facilities within the plant. Works under general supervision, within established procedures. Operates a variety of utility systems, valves, pumps, switch engines/rail car movers, machines, product and environmental control systems. Comply with all regulatory guidelines. Cleans tanks and lines. Records all product transfers for inventory control and completes other associated paperwork. Trained in safety and emergency procedures and may be required to respond to fire, spill, or medical emergency. What will be expected from you: Operate forklift in the activities of handling empty packaging and with products, placing them in trucks and/or stacking them in predetermined places. Prepare conditions for loading/unloading of trailers/railcars, aligning pumps, manifolds, and filters to retain impurities. Inspect received drums, checking quantities, internal and external appearance, noting quantities including deviation. Keep the forklift in conditions of use by filling in a daily "check-list", supplying gas, and requesting repairs when necessary. Supply operations with materials as requested, and pick-up for proper disposition of unused quantities respective storage locations. Maintain proper order of empty drum stock, labels and seals, as well as keep drum stacks containing products. Confirm labels are appropriately placed on drums and bulk cargo are correctly placard when shipping and packaging of finished products. Fill the drums with products, connecting exhaust fan for gas removal, triggering the tube's docking lever in the drum, observing the setting and achieving the predetermined level. Maintain orderly working environment aligned with 5S methodology (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) daily. Support inventory cycle and physical counts. Support Production and Loading activities by applying HAZMAT practices and regulations. Support Pasadena Site by being part of the Emergency Response Team. Inspect and maintain environmental, health, and safety equipment assigned to individuals and in areas position is responsible for maintaining. Manage and optimize all processes under your responsibility taking into consideration Quality, Legality and Food Safety (if applicable) and client needs on Indorama’s products and services. Guarantee all documentation under your responsibility is updated and available for consulting. Inspect trailers internally to avoid contamination of the products, filling in checklist. Comply with and disseminate practices, norms, legislations and conditions of health, safety, environment and quality, guiding and correcting conditions of unsafe acts and the proper use of personal protective equipment, tools and other devices, in order to avoid deviations that cause incidents, accidents and/or physical damage and/or materials and/or environmental aggressions. Perform other tasks related to the job. What we are looking for in an ideal candidate: High school diploma or equivalent. 2–3+ years of relevant experience in a chemical plant, refinery, logistics, or similar industrial environment. Hands-on experience loading/unloading trucks; railcar experience preferred. Forklift experience required; ability to obtain site certification. Ability to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and working outdoors. Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow strict procedures. Experience with yard mill operations. Packaging experience (drums, totes, labeling). HAZWOPER certification. CFR 49/Hazmat handling exposure. Experience in chemical transfer operations or similar workflows. What do we offer?
