About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager for our Electric Utility Pole Line Hardware product line.  This product line includes mostly steel and aluminum structural components used on distribution poles to support other critical electrical grid components. This role is responsible for all aspects of the product line's success, defining its vision, strategy, and roadmap. This role will work cross-functionally, collaborating with engineering, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure the product line meets both customer needs and business objectives. A Day In The LifeProduct Line Strategy Develop a product line strategy and roadmap for the product line ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Lead multifunctional teams to drive New Product Development ideas from conception to implementation. Collaborate with marketing team for go-to-market strategies, branding, advertising and digital content. Track key product metrics and identifying areas for improvement. Market Research and Analysis Understand customer needs, problems and priorities for assigned product line. Understand market trends and competitive landscape. Complete internal analysis and reports on sales trends, regional analysis, margin analysis, etc. as required. Operational Execution Work with sourcing and manufacturing departments to drive cost improvements. Collaborate with pricing team on pricing strategies to maximize both top line sales and margins. Communicate customer forecasts and plans to internal stakeholders to ensure adequate inventory and lead times to enable successful customer order fulfillment. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements of products. Customer & Industry Engagement Provide technical support to Sales team for product applications. Deliver technical training to internal teams and customers/distributors. Represent the company at seminars, trade shows, and industry events. Collaborate with engineering to author technical reports and papers for publication. What will help you thrive in this role?Qualifications

Requirements

  • Education: B.S. in Engineering, Marketing, or Business required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Product Manager or 10 years plus experience in a product line support role.
  • Skilled in all aspects of Microsoft Office/365 applications.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Equally comfortable and capable doing hands-on field work/demonstrations in dirty environments and giving technical presentations to professionals in an office environment.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA a plus.
  • Experience with SAP ERP system a plus.
