About The Position

We are looking for Product Line Manager, Water Solutions, Americas We are seeking a dynamic and assertive individual for a Product Line Manager, Americas, position. This is a new hybrid position in Water Solutions to help focus and drive the Water Solutions growth agenda in the region. This position will be dedicated to Kemira’s Industrial Water Services (KIWS) business following the recent acquisition of Water Engineering Inc which specializes in industrial water treatment services, offering tailored solutions to customers across food & beverage, manufacturing, healthcare, and other sectors.  Boiler and cooling water chemistry and commodity chemical knowledge would be crucial. This is also a highly collaborative role within the Water Solutions Product Line organization aimed to increase the bandwidth across the Polymers and Process Chemicals product lines and to support Kemira’s launch growth into Micropollutants removal in the Americas region.  Knowledge of polyacrylamide, defoamers, dispersants and activated carbon would be essential. This is a strategic role, that will develop, drive, implement and execute the Product Line roadmap strengthening the product line competitiveness and profitability and the Water Solutions growth agenda within the Americas region.  This will require excellent stakeholder management to collaborate and influence across a wide stakeholder network. In this role you will be responsible for: Portfolio Management: Proactively managing the regional product portfolio. Price Guidance: Responsible for price guidance with understanding of market prices and changes in the customer and competitor landscape within the KIWS business. Collaborate closely with commercial teams. Financial Management: Oversee and drive profitability with focus on growth and continuous improvement. Strategic Vision: Execute the Product Line strategy in the Americas region.  Articulate and drive a clear vision and strategy for the product line and communicate outcomes and roadmaps. Drive, coordinate activities with management & stakeholder to inspire and align efforts. Market Analysis: Understand and analyze market landscape, prices, predict changes, and communicate insights to optimize product line profitability through pricing guidance and offering. Decision Making: Analyze and prepare make-or-buy options for investment, and expansion projects. Contribute heavily to operative decision making day to day as well as close interaction with Water Solutions Product Line Managers and Management BU on strategic guidelines. Collaboration: Work closely with Product Line Managers, BU Management, Commercial teams, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Sourcing, PSRA, R&I, Engineering & Technology, and SCM to support decision-making and improve commercial competence.

Requirements

  • Market Insight: Comprehensive understanding of relevant market space, enabling informed decision-making and strategic foresight. Willing to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and executive level communication abilities to effectively connect with and influence stakeholders at every level.
  • Analytical Ability: Hands-on approach with the capability to deliver and produce comprehensive, detailed analyses and insights customized for various audiences.
  • Systematic Approach: Ability to build, analyze and synthesize a clear message, to create a vision for stakeholders. Well organized way of working to manage multiple tasks on hand.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in guiding and influencing stakeholders. Ability to set scope, manage priorities, reach consensus and drive and deliver results.
  • Operational and technical understanding: Excellent business acumen and solid understanding of operations in chemical manufacturing and value chains along with competencies in long-term capacity planning.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in product line management, commercial operations, or related fields, preferably within, finance, business controlling or relevant technical experience.
  • A university degree preferably in chemistry, engineering, economy or other applicable field.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate and influence decision-making across different functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of tools and systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, SAP, ProFlow).
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership to grow business.
