About The Position

The Product Line Manager (PLM) at AFL is responsible for delivering product and market intelligence to enhance market share for assigned product ranges. This role involves defining product, pricing, and promotion strategies while managing the product life cycle from development to termination. The PLM will work remotely and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful product performance and alignment with company goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Science, Business Administration or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in product marketing, product development, or related field.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25 - 30%.

  • Product Management/Marketing expertise, including market trends/analysis and product life-cycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Achieves long term market performance goals by establishing the long-term vision and strategy for assigned product ranges.
  • Acts as the champion and evangelist for communicating the product line vision and strategy to all relevant participants and stakeholders.
  • Successfully manages designated product range(s) over its life cycle to maximize overall return/profit.
  • Ensures compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and commercial change processes.
  • Leads the commercial input to the product development process, including the development of product market requirements.
  • Manages all aspects of the product life cycle from planning to termination, defining Product Models and Structures.
  • Identifies requirements for training, content, processes, and tools to support salespeople throughout the buyer's journey.
  • Responsible for the performance of new product introductions and post-launch financial performance.
  • Determines product pricing using market research data and production costs.
  • Effectively manages pricing strategies to balance growth and profitability objectives.
  • Establishes a commitment to quality and communicates the importance of meeting requirements at all levels.
