About The Position

At AV, we firmly believe that all internships are not created equal. Our summer internship program is meticulously designed to provide students with an immersive and dynamic experience within our industry, offering a taste of what it's like to be part of our professional team. AV is seeking a Systems Engineering intern to support multiple efforts within the Space Technologies business unit. The business unit has been developing the techniques, systems, subsystems, and design elements required to implement high reliability opto-mechanical and electrical space systems and components. The Systems Engineering intern is a key member of an integrated team operating in a very dynamic environment. As part of this process, we are seeking qualified intern candidates in their second or third year of an accredited 4-year engineering program in order to identify potential candidates earlier in their career. The candidate will work across engineering disciplines to support our Systems Engineering team with lifecycle management of high-reliability electronic components in the PLM environment. Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, configuration management, and compliance to manage part metadata, ensure BOM accuracy, and mitigate obsolescence risk. We strive to provide an enriching full-time job, enabling our interns to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology, contribute to meaningful projects, build strong relationships with coworkers, and develop strategic problem-solving skills. Our program is highly selective, ensuring personalized attention and ample opportunities to work closely with AV team members.
