About The Position

With guidance from a departmental leader, you will work on: Supporting product and component level qualification activities, and product development activities by performing research, design analysis, design verification testing as applicable to the motorized blower system as a whole, or subassembly components. Developing test systems in support of design verification activities. Performing testing, collecting and analyzing test data using engineering software, computer aided design, and code scripting as necessary to support statistical analysis. Writing detailed engineering reports based on development activities and data analysis. The right candidate for our internship will be expected to know commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the mechanical engineering product development process and rely on mentorship, instructions, and pre-established guidelines to perform the job's functions. This is preferred to be an on-site role located at our ResMed facility in Chatsworth and/or Calabasas, California. Candidates will be asked to be available to participate in on-site/remote team meetings. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Requirements

  • Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2026; program date is from June 15th – September 4, 2026 (must be able to commit to full 12 weeks)
  • Engineering academic studies that will lead to a Bachelor's or Master's Degree (preferably Mechanical).
  • Experience with mechanical engineering design and analysis, statistical analysis, outstanding writing skills, and excellent data analysis skills with scripting capabilities.
