At GrowthX, we’re building the modern growth engine for marketing teams. Since launching in 2024, we've grown from concept to eight-figure annual revenue. To date, we've raised a $12M Series A led by Madrona Venture Group and we partner with 60+ companies ranging from high-growth startups to industry leaders like Lovable, Webflow, Ramp, Superhuman, Strapi, Abnormal Security, and Augment Code. We’ve built something different: an operating system that unifies powerful AI workflows with forward-deployed experts to transform content into compounding organic growth. We’re building the growth infrastructure marketing teams wish they’d always had — the system that reliably turns context into strategy, strategy into execution, and execution into measurable growth. Product Lead We're in the middle of a tectonic shift. Buyer behavior is changing. AI is reshaping how brands get discovered. Entire professions are reinventing themselves. At GrowthX, we're tackling all three at once: How AI sees brands: Helping companies monitor and understand how AI engines perceive them. How marketing teams respond: Giving them the tools to act on insights and win. How AI engineers operate: Building the infrastructure for teams working at the forefront of AI's impact on go-to-market. We need someone to build these products with us. This is a builder role. At GrowthX, product and engineering are mixed. Product managers read code, have informed discussions with engineers, and get in the trenches. You'll mock up features with AI-assisted tools like Claude. You'll lead day-to-day operations. You'll QA new versions and fix bugs yourself. You'll create the content and enablement paths that help the rest of the team ship. If you want to write specs for other people to build, this isn't it. What We're Building GrowthX runs two engines: Services: B2B content marketing for companies that want to win in AI-first discovery. $200k+ engagements. This is the revenue engine. Software: Three products that power the shift: CheckThat: The open AI visibility index for B2B. Think Crunchbase for funding, G2 for reviews, but for how AI perceive brands. ContentOS: The system that turns AI insights into content that wins. Output.ai: AI workflows that power forward-deployed engineering teams. You'll own product across this portfolio. You might start with CheckThat, then move to scaling our forward-deployed engineering expansion, or take over parts of ContentOS. The work shifts as the company grows.

Requirements

  • Product engineer at heart. You enjoy coding, but you enjoy making products and moving in the right direction even more. You can go deep with engineers, understand trade-offs firsthand, and make technical decisions confidently.
  • Excellent communicator. Writing and verbal. You can run meetings, hold strong opinions loosely, and make complex things simple. You go deep on domains and become an expert faster than most.
  • Extremely curious. You ask questions. You dig in. You're not satisfied until you understand how something actually works.
  • Organized operator. Excellent at project management. You keep things moving, track the details, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • AI-native. You use AI tools daily. You understand prompting, context windows, and model behavior. AI isn't a novelty for you. It's how you work.
  • B2B SaaS context. You understand PLG, freemium, and conversion funnels. You've seen how self-serve products grow.
  • SF-based is a plus. We're a remote company, but because this role works closely with the CEO and CTO on a regular basis - and we're both in San Francisco. Being local makes collaboration easier. Time-zone overlap with the US West Coast is critical.
  • Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country of residence. We are not able to provide employment visa sponsorship at this time.

  • SEO or content marketing experience
  • Seed-to-Series A experience (you've seen the messy middle)
  • Built with Rails, React, Typescript or similar stack
  • Written publicly about AI, SEO, or B2B growth
  • Former founder or founding product person

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Work closely with the CEO and CTO to shape strategy. Convert high-level direction into tactical projects.
  • Bring Clarity Through Building: Wireframe in ASCII or tldraw. Mock up features in actual code in real repos, not Figma. Use AI-assisted tools like Claude and Cursor to quickly bring ideas to life. Your job is to derisk the early phase and make decisions concrete before the team invests in production code.
  • Work with Engineers: Pair with the team. Review PRs. Make technical trade-off decisions. You need to be credible in the codebase.
  • Growth and Metrics: Own conversion funnels. Track what matters. Run experiments. Kill what doesn't work.
  • User Research: Talk to users. Validate before building. Understand the problem before jumping to solutions.
  • Cross-Product Integration: Connect the dots across CheckThat, ContentOS, and Output.ai.
