About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Information Manager to join our team. The Product Information Manager serves as an internal subject matter expert responsible for the strategic insight, identification, concept development, and verification of product information used in automotive retail education and training initiatives. This hybrid Michigan-based role is primarily remote, with occasional in-person collaboration as needed. Candidates must be available to work standard Eastern Time business hours.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of related experience, including direct responsibility of technical information description, development and accuracy
  • Experience interacting with varied internal teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field
  • Working knowledge and passion for automobiles with a sound mechanical knowledge desired
  • Technical writing experience is mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Possess a high level of understanding and ability to communicate complex content in understandable mediums for audiences (e.g., wholesale/retail networks)
  • Work in a self-directed manner to concept and develop editorial content aimed at the educational/training objectives for clients
  • Gather information and insights related to vehicle content, technology and systems from internal and external sources
  • Assess, understand and implement key engineering and client-based information resource documents
  • Provide technical product information to internal automotive account teams, including feature functionality and consumer benefits
  • Proactively maintain the accuracy and usage of automotive product information content during the internal creative development process
  • Manage product information consistency across multiple deliverables
  • Research and maintain an understanding of the automotive industry and the trends
  • Develop highly effective working relationships with key internal team members
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the client organization
