You will own and drive the global strategy for our product environmental compliance program, ensuring our cutting-edge data center products meet all global environmental regulations and customer sustainability demands. This highly impactful, cross-functional role requires a seasoned professional who will serve as the company's global subject matter expert (SME) , influencing product design, supply chain operations, and overall corporate social responsibility. You will be the architect of our compliance programs, directly enabling Pure's commitment to a circular economy.

Requirements

  • Advanced Regulatory Command: Wide-ranging experience and expertise in managing global product environmental compliance programs within the electronics or hardware OEM sector, with a track record of successfully implementing major global environmental directives (e.g., RoHS, REACH, EcoDesign, SCIP, Conflict Minerals ).
  • Strategic Problem Solver: Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues where analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors , exercising sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques to obtain results.
  • Program & Data Management: Expertise in owning and managing complex compliance data, documentation, and processes using environmental compliance data management systems (e.g., CMAP, Assent, BOMcheck) and a strong history of leveraging automation to streamline workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Exceptional ability to influence, train, and collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams (Engineering, Legal, Supply Chain) and external partners (suppliers, customers), serving as a key contact outside the immediate area of expertise.
  • Process Ownership: Proven ability to define and implement strategic policies, establish new operational procedures, and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, and work plans for the compliance function.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline required.

  • A master's degree or advanced education in engineering, science, or business is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically lead the development and management of the company’s global product environmental compliance framework (e.g., RoHS, REACH, EcoDesign, Conflict Minerals, TSCA, SCIP, POPs, Packaging Requirement ), and determine the methods and procedures for addressing complex compliance issues to safeguard market access for all products.
  • Oversee and execute all regulatory submissions and data collection efforts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to global authorities and platforms, and maintaining comprehensive documentation in compliance management systems (e.g., CMAP).
  • Act as a key consultant to Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, embedding compliance and sustainability requirements early in the product lifecycle from design to end-of-life, and coordinating activities to ensure project success.
  • Drive supplier engagement and accountability by communicating evolving compliance standards and providing necessary training, ensuring the supply chain meets Pure’s stringent environmental and social expectations.
  • Monitor the global regulatory landscape for emerging environmental risks and obligations, assessing their impact on the business, and proactively advising senior management to inform strategic policy and ensure long-term corporate compliance.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Foxconn Manufacturing facility in Houston to comply with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
  • Support company initiatives to meet voluntary environmental standards and certifications , including EPEAT , TCO Certified , and ECMA-370 .
