Here’s the Gist: The Global Product Team is seeking a high potential, resourceful, hands-on Product Engineering Manager, Power Devices with exceptional leadership and project management skills. The candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing a diverse team of product engineers and technicians responsible for Device processing within our manufacturing line. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced, deadline-oriented manufacturing environment and work constructively with a cross-functional team of manufacturing personnel (Operations, Equipment, Integration, Yield and R&D Teams), engineers and technicians to improve yield and efficiencies across multiple products. This position will be based in Marcy, NY.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Engineering or Sciences with prior leadership experience.
  • 5 years Engineering experience in a Semi-Conductor Manufacturing environment troubleshooting equipment, material, or process impact on product quality and yield.
  • Strong background in 8D, 5Y, Fishbone, Fault Tree, Is-Is not and applying other troubleshooting methodologies on large data.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities, independent thinking, attention to detail, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High energy, self-motivated attitude with strong communication skills and ability to interface effectively with coworkers of different backgrounds at every level of the company.
  • Experience recruiting, training, developing, and retaining a team of engineers

Responsibilities

  • Build, coach, and lead a diverse team of Product Engineers and Technicians.
  • Initiate, organize, and manage projects that positively impact costs and product yields while maintaining both near and long-term roadmaps.
  • Apply good engineering practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Own investigation, troubleshooting, and improvement of equipment impact on safety, quality, and cost of production processes.
  • Define and refine methods to increase process repeatability and control to achieve higher yields, lower costs, higher flexibility, lower variation, and a safe work environment.
  • Provide data analysis and understanding of the SiC manufacturing using databases and data analysis tools.
  • Provide engineering/technical direction and design support to project teams
  • This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
