As a Product Engineer a typical day might include: Developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of specific product line(s), product applications, competition, and markets. Serving as the primary technical contact to sales, marketing, operations, and others as required for in-service product support. Participating in specifying product requirements, and work closely with Product Managers to ensure product features and functionality meet the customer/market needs. Working with development engineers and product managers to prioritize development activities to meet customer needs while accomplishing objectives. Preparing product documentation including data sheets, flyers, instruction manuals, guideform specifications, release notes, and service bulletins. Performing product validation testing and approve validation results. Participating in industry technical meetings and conferences. Prepare and present technical product presentations. Assisting with developing and creating concept documents or drawings associated with new product ideas to be developed within R&D. Embracing the mindset: Understand. Create. Simplify. You have 2+ years of working knowledge of electric power or industrial systems integration and automation practices and philosophies. You have excellent technical and marketing presentation and writing skills. You are willing to travel up to 15%. You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills. You have the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. You enjoy working in a highly collaborative team environment. Product Engineer $97,700 - $144,400 annually. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
