Requirements

  • Experience with software troubleshooting and support
  • Knowledge of industrial network architecture and communication protocols used in industrial automation and telemetry applications
  • Network skills, database applications, knowledge with virtual machines, web-based applications
  • Strong multi-tasking skills: ability to get many tasks done quickly and accurately with high level of attention to detail
  • Ability in resolving system issues in a production environment and adjusting communication to fit the audience and the message for customers and Emerson stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience in solutions used for Condition Monitoring of critical assets and data collection for Predictive Maintenance
  • Product knowledge and at least 3 years field service and/or remote support using or supporting AMS brand products under the MHM portfolio: AMS Machine Works, AMS Machinery Manager, AMS 6500 ATG, AMS 6500, AMS Asset Monitor, AMS Wireless Vibration Monitors, AMS 9420, AMS 2140
  • Strong presentation skills for in person or online settings

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with customers and global product support staff to diagnose issues to ensure success in using Emerson's AMS brand of products under the Machinery Health Management portfolio
  • Providing remote diagnostics to investigate and replicate software and hardware application issues at client sites to expedite solutions
  • Becoming a subject matter expert on our products to influence future innovation of the suite of product offerings
  • Building Knowledge Base Articles and content for product information to be used in the field and technical support
  • Developing and delivering department training sessions for new product releases
  • Providing feedback to Marketing and Technology teams regarding our end-user requirements and enhancement requests, based on the investigation of customer reported field issues and pain points
  • Demonstrating technical expertise, proficiency, and self-sufficiency in computer skills, networking, communication and automation protocols
  • Demonstrating Customer Loyalty principles to achieve Customer Satisfaction goals
  • Establishing and maintaining close consultative long-term relationships with key customers to assist with their support needs
