Requirements

Associate’s degree or equivalent.
Minimum of five years of foundry experience.
Strong technical expertise and knowledge of engineering principles related to the foundry industry.
Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams for developing PFMEA and Process Control Plan.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Experience with CAD and Casting Simulation software.
Knowledge of blueprint reading and GDT principles.

Responsibilities

Product Launch Management: Lead new product launches from initial development through PPAP and the handoff to the Operations team and Manufacturing/Process Engineers.
Simulation and Design Feedback: Conduct simulations on new product designs and collaborate with the Tooling and Design teams to suggest necessary changes to tooling design before release.
Process Development: Assist Process Engineers in developing detailed work instructions and process sheets for new products, leveraging data generated from Computed Aided Engineering (CAE).
Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning and maintain capacity maps for processes, ensuring new processes meet demand without overextending resources.
Design Reviews: Participate in internal and customer-facing design review meetings, offering valuable insights for product optimization.
Cost Optimization: Identify cost inefficiencies for new products and implement cost-reduction strategies and lean manufacturing efforts.
