About The Position
Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to quickly resolve customer issues and improve product quality in a dynamic fast-paced challenging environment. Supports product development from product prototyping, development, deployment/product release, and initial field support. Design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems. Present analysis and support technical recommendations clearly and concisely. Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products. Provides technical support for installation and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues. Maintain a high degree of customer engagement including face-to-face and international travel to customer sites supporting near term product releases and solve customer issues. Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3+ years' experience; or equivalent experience
- Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills
- Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities
- Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time
Nice To Haves
- Prior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial
- Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment
- Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams
