About The Position

Lead the design of ball bearings, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, manufacturability, and NSK’s quality standards. Create and review 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, design calculations, and validation plans. Apply analytical methods and virtual simulations at product and system level to optimize bearing performance and reliability. Provide technical input on materials, specifications, and plant manufacturability. Conduct design reviews, document design activities, and obtain approvals for new designs and changes. Support customer validation programs, testing cycles, and returned product analysis. Collaborate with sales, industry leaders, global and regional Technical Centers teams to identify opportunities and drive new development projects. Maintain up-to-date expertise in industry standards and internal design rules, proactively screening and advising on the adoption of innovative design philosophies within NSK’s engineering practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related field).
4–6 years of experience in product engineering or bearing design.
Proven expertise in ball bearing design, with hands-on knowledge of Deep Groove Ball Bearings (DGBB) and Thin Section Ball Bearings (TSBB)
Strong knowledge of bearing specs, and major industrial applications.
Skilled in CAD modeling, design calculations, and simulation techniques.
Experienced in design reviews, drawings approval cycle as well as in managing industrial standard tools, such as the combination of Solidworks/Catia/Creo and EPDM systems
Ability to collaborate with global teams and travel domestically/internationally up to 25%.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience in application areas such as Medical, Robotics, and Semiconductor industries is a strong plus.
