Overview Gallagher Bassett’s Product Innovation Team is dedicated to leveraging data-driven insights to develop and enhance products that deliver exceptional value to our clients. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Analyst Intern to join our team. This internship is designed for college seniors who are passionate about data storytelling, visualization, and analytics, and are looking to kickstart their career in data analysis. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Requirements

Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a closely related field.
Ability to work with disparate data sources and create unified solutions.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. A keen eye for identifying trends and patterns in data.
Experience creating impactful visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Experience with Power BI is preferred.
Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and present them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work with disparate data sources and create unified solutions.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Experience with tools such as SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
Flexible and adaptable attitude, able to manage shifting priorities and timelines. Ability to work independently with general supervision.

Responsibilities

Product Performance Monitoring: Track and monitor key product metrics, such as user acquisition, retention, conversion rates, and revenue. Identify areas for improvement and use data to inform product strategy.
User Experience: Gather user feedback and analyze results to gain insights into the overall user experience and behaviors. Utilize this data to optimize product experience and drive user engagement.
Data Analysis: Perform general analytics and basic statistical modeling on existing data sets. Define data requirements, oversee data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modeling, and visualization.
Data Storytelling: Examine and identify data patterns and trends to answer business questions and support product ideation. Present findings in a clear and impactful way to influence decision-making.
Data Visualization: Partner with our Business Intelligence team to craft compelling visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate key product metrics and trends to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your efforts will enable the business to measure outcomes and make data-driven decisions.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to transform data insights into actionable recommendations. Contributing to discussions on product roadmap, ensuring successful product releases, and ultimately satisfying users.
