About The Position

As a Product Development Intern you would assist in a wide range of specialized testing, experimental work, and technical support activities in a research and development function. Assist in the conduct of a broad range of more specialized testing activities on raw materials, components and products in laboratory, pilot plant or operational plant environments. Perform a range of support activities to enable the smooth operation of the R&D environment. Supports laboratory material management, including assisting with inventory control, labeling, and maintaining a safe, clean, & organized lab environment Participate in research tasks and related activities Perform testing using standard methods and protocols, with guidance on modified or specialized procedures Assist senior technicians and scientists with project work, plant trials, & experimental setups Coordinate with maintenance personnel by reporting equipment issues and supporting basic troubleshooting activities Assist in documenting test results and preparing summary reports or presentations for project teams Responsible for demonstrating site safety at all times Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma including completion of: chemistry lecture & lab course, Algebra II OR Bachelor’s degree in physical or natural sciences
  • Working knowledge of a laboratory environment and ability to perform tasks in accordance with established safety procedures and guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and planning skills
  • Experience with basic spreadsheet and word processing software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and the flexibility to take on a variety of duties
