About The Position

As a Product Development Engineering Intern, you’ll join our System Engineering group and work alongside experienced engineers to support the development and testing of next-generation chemical analysis devices. This internship offers hands-on experience in areas such as microfluidic dispensing, spectrophotometric measurements, and system integration. You’ll gain exposure to: Requirements analysis and conceptual design. Testing and validation of device performance. Collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams. Real-world problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AI agents
  • Familiarity with scientific tools such as Matlab, Python, or LabView (coursework or projects count).
  • Exposure to microfluidics, spectrophotometry, fiber-optics, or electromechanical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining requirements and developing specifications for chemical analysis processes.
  • Support the creation and execution of test plans for new designs and improvements.
  • Help evaluate materials and components for compatibility with chemical processes.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and performance analysis of devices and subsystems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs and test results.
  • Document findings and contribute to reports that support engineering decisions.
