About the Role We are looking for a dedicated Product Designer to shape how people experience the future of home energy. This is a mid-senior level role focused on shaping the experience of our consumer-facing platforms, from our mobile app to our web touchpoints. You’ll turn one of life’s most complex systems—electricity—into experiences that feel simple, human, and empowering. From navigating an outage to supporting the grid to the onboarding flow, the products you design will transform stress into confidence and complexity into clarity. You will set the standard for product design at Base, building experiences that are functional, educational, and beautiful.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience in consumer products.
• A portfolio that demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills, thoughtful interaction design, world-class visual craft, and the ability to design full product experiences.
• Mastery of Figma and design systems, with a track record of shipping pixel-perfect UI.
• Experience driving success across the full product process, from discovery and research through highly polished, delightful UI’s.
• The ability to balance speed with craft, making smart trade-offs while upholding world-class quality.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Interest in energy, climate, or hardware software experiences.

Responsibilities

• Drive design efforts across Base’s consumer-facing platforms, from concept through implementation.
• Translate complex energy challenges into simple, intuitive, and useful product experiences.
• Partner closely with engineering to ensure high-quality execution and attention to detail.
• Balance multiple projects and priorities, moving quickly while maintaining craft.
• Contribute to and evolve design patterns and systems that create seamless experiences across products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test ideas, learn from members, and deliver impactful features.
