About The Position

Today’s aircraft contribute around 4% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall. JetZero is developing a blended-wing body (BWB) aircraft. It uses up to 50% less fuel and will be built to accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. What You'll Do As a Design Intern you will gain hands-on experience working at the intersection of multiple design disciplines from Product, Branding, Interior Design and Customer Experience. Collaborating across groups to contribute value-driven solutions, iterated and presented through immersive digital and physical environments. As a part of our team, you'll have access to our full-scale mockup and prototype lab and creative design studio in our new headquarters located directly on the historic Long Beach Airport.

Requirements

Minimum Junior level status in an accredited Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Visual Effects, Interior Design and Architecture (or similar) degree or certification.
Ability to work onsite in Long Beach 5 days a week.
Excellent aesthetic sensibility and skill to create engaging and cohesive design content, both in 2D, 3D and in physical prototypes
Foundational understanding of design research, ideation and development processes
Hands-on ability to prototype, build, and iterate your ideas with efficiency.
Hand sketching and rendering skills and ability to rapidly communicate your ideas
