About The Position

The Product Data Specialist II must be well-developed in the role of creating, maintaining, and editing information management systems (PSP, SAP & PIM) used to generate outputs such as but not limited to, catalogs, price sheets, and labels; Recommending and implementing revisions to content; ensuring terminology and format adheres to corporate guidelines; ensuring the approval process is followed; overseeing Packaging Change Notice (PCN) submissions; developing and maintaining the accuracy of Bill of Materials (BOM’s), and generating reports for internal and external customers as requested.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and skill with operating programs such as PIM, PSP, SAP, Microsoft Office, Adobe, EasyLabel, and/or Nice Label
  • Knowledge of new item creation processes, bills of material, routings, and work center structure

  • 5 - 7 years of related experience, preferably in a technical field
  • 3 years of SAP master data experience required

Responsibilities

  • Information Management
  • Creates, maintains, and edits the information management systems used to generate outputs such as, but not limited to, catalogs, price sheets, product datasheets, and labels
  • Acts as a liaison between Market Management and SAP S4/Hana implementation partners for the functional redesign of the SAP innovation-to-market process; Suggests and develops new processes to ensure functional changes follow program governance; documents workflows
  • Provides training, technical direction, and consultation to other users across multiple departments regarding system capabilities, data governance, and storage; documents procedures; facilitates information sessions; troubleshoots and resolves issues with software functionality; performs adjustments and reports concerns to cross-functional teams in the U.S. and Germany
  • Collects requirements, compile data from multiple sources and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, and content based on style guidelines and system capabilities
  • Ensures terminology is aligned with corporate guidelines; proofreads and reviews outputs for data accuracy, completeness, and consistent terminology
  • Works with supporting departments responsible for photography, marketing text, etc; loads their contributions into the system; ensures all information is correctly loaded and in compliance with system and legal requirements; ensures information is conveyed accurately and updates are made timely; collects approvals
  • Market Management Support
  • Oversees Packaging Change Notice (PCN) submissions; ensures the approval process is followed; provides communications between cross-functional teams in the U.S. and Germany as packaging changes are requested.
  • Enters any necessary changes into the Material Master screens in SAP
  • Manages the Notice of Discontinuation (NoD) process; controls forms, requests and collects approvals, tracks all requirements for discontinuation and provides communication to cross-functional teams in the US and Germany as needed.
  • Manages the Scrap process; controls forms, requests, and collects approvals; tracks all requirements
  • Develops and maintains the accuracy of Bill of Material’s (BOM’s); Requests drawings and data necessary to complete the BOM; reviews the contributed drawings and data for reasonability and accuracy; ensures BOM’s are completed timely and efficiently as outlined in the development order process
  • Other
  • Training and frequent communications with international colleagues is necessary
  • Some international travel may be required
  • May have to modify hours to participate in call and continuous training with international colleagues
  • Attends meetings as required and/or assigned.
